This is a really cool find. The original museum piece had loss & flaws, w/Austin Prod., Inc. honoring the condition found in museum (Circa 1956-1964). This is a magnificent mid-20th century vintage Austin Productions Inc. painted, cast plaster sculpture of an archaic, ancient archaeological discovery, a centuries old figure of an Etruscan, possibly Asian and most likely Chinese battle horse. It represents the loss the artifact would have been discovered with. The cast reproduction remains true to the original artifact, in form and condition. The painted finish is a deep blood red which has a matte, non-reflective surface. The piece is signed on the side of one of the lower legs 'Austin Prod. Inc.' It was most likely produced somewhere between 1956-1964. Great archaic form and vintage surfaces in great condition.
