Vintage Hand-Painted Fuchsia Coastal Conch Shaped Cache Pot/Planter
This is a very unique, extremely striking conch cache pot (a container used to hold a planter pot). It can obviously used for any number of small storage needs, but was likely made in the spirit of florals. Hand-signed and dated on the bottom, it’s definitely one-of-a-kind. The color is unbelievably rich and bright, with a creamy, shiny glaze over top. I placed a plastic flower frog inside to create a taller floral arrangement, so the flower frog is included with purchase! Its medium size is idea for small plants or succulents. It has a solid bottom (no drainage hole), and a clean white inside. There are 4 ‘feet’ on the bottom of the conch, so the piece is extremely sturdy.
Condition: Used - Very Good: A well-cared-for item that has seen limited use and remains in good working condition. There is a small chip on the exterior lip that is visible when the planter is viewed from the back, see photos.
Features:
Dimensions: 12.5” lenth, 9” wide, 6.75” tall
Glazed ceramic, maybe porcelain
Signed and Dated on the bottom ‘MCE 1993’
