Vintage Cheongsam Dress - Size 40 (6/8)
Gorgeous vintage cheongsam dress in black with bronze and champagne floral embroidery. Note, there is a loose thread at the leg slit, but it’s hardly noticeable and can be mended. The cheongsam dress has origins from as far back as the the Manchu people of the Qing dynasty (1644-1911). Although the cheongsam is viewed as traditional Chinese clothing, it’s shape and design have evolved with the times. This particular style was popular in China from the 1920s to 1960s and was popularized by Chinese socialites and high society women in Shanghai.
Condition: Good Vintage Condition- A well-cared-for item that has seen limited use. The item may show some limited signs of wear and minor cosmetic blemishes.

Size: 40 (Mannequin is a size 2-4. Dress fits American size 8/9 comfortably)
Sleeveless, ankle length with side slits.
Slip on with hidden side zipper, snap button closure
Embroidered floral design
Appliqué style coiled fabric buttons (frog fastener) in the metallic champagne color.
The collar is in the traditional Mandarin style.
