Find us Saturdays from 10am-5pm at the Brooklyn Flea under The Brooklyn Bridge! We drop new hand-curated batches of affordable & funky vintage decor every week. In tandem with our flea market presence, our online shop specializes in secondhand & vintage furniture as well as specialty items- and we offer shipping as well as local delivery!

From high school English teacher to full-time flea market lady, I’ve gone all in on stocking our booth with new and funky vintage finds every week. We keep everything small enough to carry out, and we take great care in wrapping & packing all purchases. We accept cash, Venmo, Zelle, and Apple Pay, and you can find us under the Brooklyn Bridge every Saturday (March-December) from 10am-5pm. Look for our sign right next to the arch!

The Funky Shop is our online shop specializing in vintage furniture and other funky pieces that might be too large or too valuable to bring to the flea. We offer nationwide shipping as well as local pickup & delivery in the Tri-state area.

Welcome to the funky aesthetic. We’re a vintage & secondhand home decor shop based in NY. My husband and I bought our first home in 2021, and like many new homeowners, we didn’t really know what our style was. We knew how we wanted our home to make us feel, but none of the more mainstream aesthetics seemed to fit. Naturally, shopping became overwhelming.
Totally clueless, I jotted down as many ideas as I could, images that I felt evoked the vibes we wanted in our home. Fabulous and deranged ideas like: Gloria Steinem smoking Virginia Slims in a sunken living room or Mad Men meets The Highwaymen meets Grumpy Old Men, and more broadly: confident basement & probably drugs. While there aren’t any cigarettes or hard drugs in our cocky excuse for a basement, our ideas were really just an amalgamation of references from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.
With form & function in mind, we moved forward with our design strategy: the pursuit of a funkier era. We call it the funky aesthetic.
The funky aesthetic indulges wood panelling and carpeted walls, and makes no apologies. The best part? We drop new vintage decor every Saturday in our booth at the Brooklyn Flea, and our steadfast goal will always be to make interior design accessible & affordable for all budgets. Visit us in person in Dumbo or check out our online shop for larger finds & specialty items. At the funky aesthetic, we source vintage, we shop sustainably, and we restore quality craftsmanship from a funkier era back to its former glory.
Oh, and the dog is Rambo. He’s our mascot and accountant.
